Bluebery Hawaii Technology Solutions LLC is seeking 1 QA Engineer Automated 3 candidate to work on a 100% remote project for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining both automated and manual test scripts, aligning them with business requirements, and ensuring the quality of software systems within HHSC’s Social Services applications. The role also involves supporting development, testing, and UAT environments while troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, execute, and maintain test cases for both automated and manual testing.
  • Develop test plans and perform usability testing, ensuring full alignment with business requirements.
  • Use UFT (Unified Functional Testing) to automate testing processes.
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate database operations.
  • Conduct testing for various types of applications including web-based systems within HHSC’s SOA platform.
  • Utilize ALM for managing test scenarios, execution, and reporting, while using JIRA for defect tracking and management.
  • Perform API testing using tools like PostmanSOAPUI, and JMETER.
  • Execute load testing using LoadRunner and LRE.
  • Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
  • Develop and maintain traceability matrices to ensure requirements are being tested appropriately.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders and business users to review UAT test cases and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for any defects or issues that arise during testing or in production.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans.
  • Strong knowledge of software usability conceptsrequirements traceability, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Expertise in SQL query writing for database validation (Create, Read, Update, Delete).
  • Extensive experience in automated testing using UFT.
  • Proficient in using ALM Test Management tools to manage test artifacts.
  • Expertise with JIRA for project and defect management.
  • Experience in API testing and automation using PostmanSOAPUI, or JMETER.

Preferred Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in load testing using LoadRunner and LRE.
  • Knowledge and experience with HL7 and FHIR standards for health data exchange.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
  • Experience working with Texas State Agencies or similar public sector environments is preferred.

Terms of Service:

  • Total estimated hours: 1824 hours.
  • The contract may be amended, renewed, or extended upon mutual agreement.

Work Location:

  • 100% remote with candidates being able to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Any travel, per diem, parking, or living expenses will be at the candidate’s expense.
  • The candidate may be required to work outside regular business hours (weekends, evenings, holidays) with prior approval from HHSC.
