Bluebery Hawaii Technology Solutions LLC is seeking QA Engineer Automated candidates to work on a 100% remote project for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). The QA Engineer will perform advanced quality assurance tasks, including automated testing of web-based applications such as TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, and other Social Services applications. The role involves testing within the HHSC SOA platform using Agile methodologies, developing and maintaining test plans, and ensuring software quality for a variety of applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and plans for web-based J2EE/Portal applications.
- Perform software quality assurance, testing, and support for Social Services applications such as TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, and YourTexasBenefits Mobile App.
- Conduct requirements analysis, test design, test data preparation, and validation.
- Participate in Agile-based project teams, collaborating with other teams to accomplish goals.
- Ensure application functionality and resolve software defects through testing.
- Provide technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
- Participate in program design, coding, and test walk-throughs to provide input on technical standards.
- Create and maintain documentation for testing and quality assurance processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, and the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and industry-accepted software engineering practices.
- Knowledge of software testing principles, practices, and methodologies, especially in the context of web-based UI applications.
- Experience analyzing requirements, creating test plans, and validating that applications meet business needs.
- Skill in analyzing software applications and business problems to devise solutions and draw evidence-based conclusions.
Preferred Skills:
- 3+ years of experience with automated testing tools such as HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Katalon, Selenium, SoapUI, and HP LoadRunner.
- Experience with SQL, XML, and running interface files and batch jobs.
- Hands-on experience with quality assurance in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA, JAMA, and HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Experience working with Texas State Agencies is a plus.
Terms of Service:
- Total estimated hours: 1984 hours per candidate.
- Services may be amended, renewed, or extended upon mutual agreement.
Work Location:
- 100% remote, but candidates must be located within Texas.
- Any travel, per diem, parking, or living expenses will be at the candidate’s/vendor’s expense.
- Occasionally, candidates may be required to work outside regular business hours (weekends, evenings, holidays) with prior approval from HHSC.
